The Institute of Economics specializes in applied micro economics with a focus on competition, digitization, and innovation.The position offers the option to pursue a Ph.D. or post-doc qualifications.The position is limited to three years.
Your tasks
Your job tasks include:
- English-language teaching in the area of economics and scientific working in the master program M.Sc. International Business Economics (and in other programs).
- Organizational tasks for the study program M.Sc. International Business Economics.
- Supervision and consultancy for students from the program M.Sc. International Business Economics.
- Pursuing research in one or several of the areas of the economics of competition, innovation, and environmental issues, either in order to obtain a Ph.D. or to obtain post-doc credentials.
- Assistence to the general tasks of the groups Economic Policy and Economic Theory.
Your profile
For being part of the selection process is needed:
- University degree in economics or a related subject (Master or Diploma (Univ.))
Following competences are desirable:
- Ability to teach economic subjects in English
- Scientific interest in competition, innovation, and environmental issues
- Suitability to academic working
- Team competencies, organizational skills, and motivation
- Ph.D. in economics or a related subject
- Skills in competition, innovation, and/or environmental economics
- Skills in empirical research methods (e.g. econometrics)
- Skills in academic writing and academic working ethics
