The Research Training Group on Tip- and laser-based 3D-Nanofabrication in extended macroscopic working areas “NanoFab” at the Technische Universität Ilmenau (Germany)
offers a full-time, three-year position starting April 1 2023 for:

The successful candidate should explore alternative approaches for scanning probe lithography, with a focus on piezoelectric, self-sensing and self-actuating microcantilevers. The topic can be addressed from both, microengineering and electronics backgrounds and should also consider the challenges of long-term stability and efficiency of scanning probe-based nanostructuring in extended macroscopic working areas.
The position is a unique opportunity for Postgraduate Researchers to implement their own ideas within the framework of the Research Training Group. The Research Training Group "NanoFab" is funded by the German Research Foundation and aims to synergistically combine sophisticated nanofabrication techniques with the fascinating capabilities of nanopositioning and nanometrology machines.
