The research group was newly founded last year and is currently being established. With our research, we want to contribute to automated driving becoming a reality and vehicles being able to move safely in traffic by means of communication and sensor technology. In addition to working on current research topics, we offer you the opportunity to help shape the development of the department and creatively contribute your ideas. Furthermore, you are offered the opportunity to obtain a doctoral degree through your research.

Your tasks

Your job tasks include:

  • You will research scientific questions in the area of virtual validation and verification of radar systems to enable the continued safe use of radars in road traffic. In this context, you will work on a DFG project that aims to investigate the above-mentioned topics.
  • You actively participate in defining relevant questions, derive new research ideas and write proposals for research projects.
  • You supervise motivated student assistants and guide them to scientific work.
  • You maintain intensive contacts with industry and research partners and represent the field through presentations at conferences and symposia as well as through scientific publications.
  • You take on organizational tasks in the department and help to build and expand it.

    Your profile

    For being part of the selection process is needed:

    • You have successfully completed a diploma or master's degree in electrical engineering, information technology, communications technology, computer science or a comparable course of study at an university.
    • You have a very good command of the English language, both written and spoken.

    Following competences are desirable:

    • You are willing to work independently and scientifically.
    • Ideally, you already have knowledge in the area of radar technology.

        Please provide evidence of the qualifications required for the job by certificates and references.

        The position is not suitable for part-time employment.
