Technische Universität Ilmenau, Department of Economic Sciences and Media, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Innovation Management, to be filled from October 2020.
We are looking for an internationally recognized young researcher with excellent didactic skills. In both research and teaching, the successful candidate will pursue an entrepreneurial perspective on the development and implementation of innovations. Moreover, the candidate receives the offer to support strategic efforts to enhance an effective university technology transfer.
We welcome applications from scientists with research experience in one or several of the following areas:
The successful candidate will provide evidence of high-quality scholarly output including a PhD in a relevant research field. In addition to excellent research, teaching of undergraduate and graduate level courses for economic and engineering students in innovation management is expected in both German and English language. Moreover, the candidate will develop and teach special courses on the subjects above. Approaches and concepts for cross-disciplinary training and coaching of doctoral students will be considered a merit.
Essential requirements are pedagogical aptitude and the willingness to make a significant contribution to the further development of the study programmes. The successful candidate is expected to actively participate in academic self-administration.
This professorship is funded by the Tenure Track Programme of the German Federal Government and the Federal States (https://www.tenuretrack.de/en/the-tenure-track-programme/the-federal-government-lander-programme). The recruitment requirements and conditions of § 89 of Thuringian Higher Education Act apply. The position is associated with a tenure track appointment to a W3 professorship.
