Technische Universität Ilmenau, Department of Economic Sciences and Media, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Innovation Management, to be filled from October 2020.
We are looking for an internationally recognized young researcher with excellent didactic skills. The successful candidate is distinguished by a dissertation at the interface of law and economics. Additional publications, especially in international journals, are welcome. The future holder of the position is expected to develop the law and economics of digitalization (interrelations, conditions, and effects) in research and teaching.
We welcome applications from scientists with research projects and research interests on legal-economic interdependencies of digitalization in one or several of the following areas:
In addition to excellent research, teaching of undergraduate level courses in economic and commercial law for students of the bachelor programmes of the department as well as for selected programs of other departments is expected. These basic courses should be taught in German. Furthermore, the willingness and ability to teach specialized courses in graduate programs in English is expected. Essential requirements are pedagogical aptitude and the willingness to make a significant contribution to the further development of the study programmes. The successful candidate will be expected to actively participate in academic self-administration.
This professorship is funded by the Tenure Track Programme of the German Federal Government and the Federal States (https://www.tenuretrack.de/en/thetenuretrackprogramme/the-federal-government-landerprogramme). The recruitment requirements and conditions of § 89 of the Thuringian Higher Education Act apply. The position is associated with a tenure track appointment to a W3 professorship.
